Rio - Day 4

Today was another late morning, it included breakfast, packing, and Internet time.


Then it was off to Maracana Stadium, host of the 1950 and 2014 World Cup finals. (photo taken in warm up room under stadium)

We had to return to Santa Teresa, and taking a friend that did not get the chance to go earlier was the perfect excuse. Here we had a chance to fully experience feijoada and caipirinha.

And it was time to leave Rio for Búzios, 2 hours north of Rio. (Travel site) In Buzios we have the opportunity to stay at the apartment of a friend of a friend,, and it is an awesome place just off the beach. Brigitte Bardot is their hero here, more on that later.
