Hike
Went to Shenandoah National Park for a hike. We did a hike to a water fall, which, after the lack of rain was basically a wet rock face. The trail went downhill for 1.5 hours, and then back up again, we did not do the whole loop. It was a very nice day, but a tad hot.
This view is looking to the west over the Appalachian mountains. The Shenandoah mtns. are pretty much the first in the series of ridges that generally run north-south from South Carolina to New Brunswick. The Appalachian trail goes lengthwise along Skyline Drive through the park.
