Attacked by a pedestrian

My typically tranquil ride to work today was comically interrupted by a crazy woman.

I was stopped at a stop light when the traffic light for the perpendicular traffic turned yellow. Typically at this light there are no moving cars at this point.... so I ease myself up onto my bike to beat the horn honking of the on-coming traffic that likes to run me over as they turn. This time, as I started to roll away a professional, young looking woman that had just finished crossing the street on the other side of the intersection turned to face me and became very agitated and started yelling loudly. As usual, I didn't understand what was being said (yelled). As I was reaching the other side of the intersection this woman came running at me yelling something about "don't hit me with that bike!"

So I thought to myself, stop running at me.....

Then she kicked me. Then she kicked my bike knocking me over. And she swung her purse at me.

I laughed. And asked if she was fucking insane?!

But I didn't wait for an answer. But she was still yelling at me when I finally turned around a hundred meters away. I felt like going back and shoving her, like any true Canadian would, but then I remembered, she probably had a gun, like any true American would.

This is the second incident in a month for me. Last time a guy gave chase after trying to run me over driving the wrong way up a street. Really. And a week before that a guy hit me from his truck while I was in a bike lane a mile from any stop signs..... and you get the picture.

I may set this up so next time I can call the cops with evidence.
